Fender "Deluxe" Club!

Well, yesterday was a NBD for me (didn't post a thread, sorry). My first Fender. I'm freakin' hooked.

[Short NBD Story] I've bought most every piece of musical gear I've ever owned. Convinced my parents it would be impossible to take it to the next level without the proper gear, which I didn't have the means to afford independently. I argued in such an articulate fashion that they actually conceded to my viewpoint and bought me this bass! [/SNBDS]

The bass? A Fender Deluxe Active Precision Bass Special. Made in Mexico. So awesome. I'm really diggin' the whole package. The way it plays, the way it sounds, the way it looks. Awesome.

So, who else loves their Fender Deluxe bass? As far as I know, that includes the Jaguar, Deluxe Active Jazz, Deluxe Active Jazz V, Aerodyne, Deluxe Active Precision Special, and the American Deluxe line which has it's own Precision Special, Active Jazz, and Active Jazz V. If you're rocking one, post pics!

HELL YHA SIGNED! i have an 04' in blizzard pearl rosewood fretboard thats been my one and only since 05 when i got my dad to buy me my first "real" bass. its very versatile but i find the best tone to come from the pu blend at 50%, bass flat, treble either off or barely open, and using the mid control and volume to shape the overall volume. its a great bass but i really want to get my hands around a 5 stringer...

play it in good health!

Right on man! I picked up a Active Jazz Deluxe, black w/ tort, about a month ago and have been very happy with it. Not my first "Real" bass, but my first Fender Jazz. Enjoy!

2004. Picked it up used on Ebay. Love it. Cracked pick guard and a bad solder joint (now fixed), but it plays great. Looks redder in person.

Now you have to start on that argument with your parents that you can't take it to the next level without a good amp.....

American Deluxe Zone...

2001 American Deluxe Zone

Love it. Apparently these were made only for ~5 years. Sounds great thru my various 1990s Trace Elliot rigs.
