Question Fender E series Precision question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all, I was under the impression that all E series P Basses were Made in Japan until I saw this one
Old Fender Precision Bass - Early 80's | eBay
Could some one fill me in on some info about these basses, MIA E series were the first ones and then moved to Japan or the other way around ???
And another thing I'm looking for a P Bass with a 1.5" neck, I know there is the California Series and I think the MIM Deluxe..are there any other ones with the 1.5" neck ? Thanks

My 1983 E series American P has been my main bass for years. Mine has a 1.75" width.

You might be getting mixed up with some of the Squier E series basses. I had a Jazz that was made in Japan. The neck was awesome (I still have it). Later I think the E serial numbers also were used for some of the Korean made basses.

My experience has been good with both the American and Japanese E series instruments. Let us know if you get it!
