Dang it's in the wood half way down, I guess through the years the wood just got harder and tighter. My neighbor is a weapons engineer and he's bringing the tool you mentioned from work to extract the screw, worst case I'll get a Leo Quan which it appears to have the screws in different spots to make new holes.
