FENDER EXPERTS: CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS USA JAZZ BASS?

Sign in to disble this ad
Happy New Year Folks!

I have this USA Fender Jazz Bass (1991). Serial # N000953. I know it’s not a Fender Standard Jazz. I don’t play it much but it’s very nice and unique. Awesome Neck and sound. Any idea what model this is? I bought it a Guitar Fair a few years ago and I just want identify it properly. Thanks. Joey

Not positive, but I think that was one of the many variants of the Jazz Bass Special name.

hmmmm. no doubt but i always thought that if it were a 'special' the word 'special' would be printed on the head-stock.

It's a Fender jazz bass plus, other than it's active (Kubicki preamp) there's not much I know about them.

We've got a winner. Jazz bass plus. Kubiki electronics, lace sensor pickups. Controls are vol/pan stack, bass/treble stack, active/passive/mid-boost/cut selector.

There is no such thing as a Fender Jazz Elite, only the Precision, Stratocaster, and Telecaster Elite.

jazz plus. very nice bass. that was one of my "lust after" basses when I picked up the instrument. they had some unique pearl burst finishes that were offered on that one.

I have one too. Same color. It's hard to see the fretboard, what kind of wood. Mine is brazilian rosewood. How much did you buy it for?
