Fender Fret Size!

Am I the only one prefering the vintage fret size to the newer medium jumbo that comes all over their basses now?

I like it better.

If I have to have frets, I like them as small as I can have them.

What years specifically? I was going to post about Fender fret sizing yesterday but never got around to it. I noticed that my '06 P bass has the jumbo frets but my '12 P bass has more narrow frets. Sometimes I like the small frets, other times I like 'em big round and juicy.

Different from 2006 to 2012?

I just ordered a 2012 MIA std PBass (in Jade pearl!) and I'm a bit wondering if the jumbo frets will make it for me... I've always prefered the smaller frets of my CS PBass 55, or AM vintage 62 jazz, etc... I think they're all the same.

Now, I have these medium jumbo on my PBass Pro 2012, and I'm not in love with those... Hope I'll prefer the feeling on the AM std...

Let me check my necks when I get home tonight to rule out any turkey induced delusions.

I want to eventually refret all 3 of my basses with Banjo-sized wired.
Small wire allows me to have lower perceived action.

And more precise intonation.
