Fender Fretless Precision Bass - Post yours

So, since I kinda fell in love with the Fretless P that I bought on the bay earlier this year, I'd be interested in more pictures of fretless Ps from the 70s.
Instead of going the ole' club-route, I'll ask you to simply post a pic of yours.

This is mine. I haven't got a better picture, as the instrument resides in our rehearsal space. Neck-serial number puts it somewhere 78 and 81.
Afaik the only part that is not original is the pickguard (Previous owner stated that it originally was a black one. Possible?). The pickup covers are white.
After trying it with round-, flat- and compression-wounds, I ended up using Thomastik JF344s, because I love the feel and the boom.

i would love to have a fretless P bass. I've actually only ever played a fretless once in my life and it was a cheap P bass knockoff that was converted to fretless. Needless to say, it wasn't very nice to play.

All of you guys have beautiful P basses.

The voices are telling me to add a J pup and install a 3-way Tele-style switch. Make them stop...

Very nice! Maple necks seem to be the preference around here. And that Antigua finish is extremely fine.

I'm thinking of putting a tort-pickguard on mine, depsite it being a lighter sunburst. The white is just...too white.

So,just to obsessively get on your nerves a little bit more. I replaced the pickguard (before was the first post in this thread) and really like it. Especially with the white pups.

Can anyone provide a Tone Report of a vintage 70s Precision Fretless? I'm researching what fretless to get and like to hear your views.

I do like what I've heard about the Wal basses, but out of my reach at the moment.

I also watched several lessons on Youtube about getting "Whah" bloom from any bass, with technique and set-up (flat neck). But do Set Necks and Through-Necks do the "Whah" better than say a bolt-on Precision?

Whenever I dream of a fretless P bass, I tend to think of this tone:
Mutemath - Fretless P

Sounds like he's got just a touch of overdrive going on, but still. Very nice.

P-Bass in body shape and neck dimensions (1-3/4 nut). I just prefer J pickups for fretless.

Dont do it. Once that hole is routed, you can never go back. Especially if it is a vintage body.
