Fender FSR Factory Special Run US Jazz Worth?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have the opportunity to pick up on of these US made FSR basses and I was wondering what the fair price for a used one would be? Anyone have any insights?
Thanks,
Jim.

"FSR"simply means that someone ordered enough of a specific combination of features to get Fendrro make it. Could be anything from a color not normally available to a certain combination of neck, bridge, PUPs, etc.

They did a bunch of them and value is dependent on what exactly it is.

I see. Well it was the fsr for guitar center. It is white with matching headstock. Badass bridge. I think it has a nitro finish. It was in 09 I think.

Yeah, I remember about a year back i nearly pulled the trigger on a MIJ special run P-Bass - natural color.....gorgeous bass...didn't act fast enough though. Damn it all! I still kick myself for not jumping on that one

Very similar to this one but in a Precision: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63Ib0...eature=related

Is that on the higher, lower, or middle ground for pricing?

I'm not really familiar with the model you're talking about, but they also have this one for considerably less:

Fender FSR Standard J Bass and more 4 String Electric Bass at GuitarCenter.com.

Might be worth looking into

That is supposed to be a nice MIM FSR. Ash body is nice.
Unless I'm mistaken the differences are, the one I'm looking at has a nitro Finish with matching white headstock, badass II bridge and is Made in the US. Those features are what draw me to it. I played one about a year ago and it was pretty nice from what I remember.

Yep, Badass Bridge, Noiseless PUs, S-1 Switch. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the smaller Highway 1 tuners they used. I'd prefer the reverse vintage type. I believe something like 215 were made, supposedly one for each GC store. Sounds great. I think they are from '06 or '08. I got mine on TB last year for between $8-900, excellent condition, with OHSC and all case candy.

That's the one. Can you tell me how you like it? Does she stay in tune, overall how is she? Any and all info would be cool.

8-900 is about middle ground , I have seen them for more but not selling , I have seen them for less but not with all original stuff in good shape or anything.

For 800$ or less with everything even the hardshell is a steal
