Fender FSR, finally...

Sign in to disble this ad
After a long and fruitless search (usually about 15 minutes too late on the classifieds page or eBay) for an FSR p-bass (the natural finish with tortoise guard) I finally found one. Went into GC just to see what was going on and they had a used one. Of course they have their pre-sale waiting period for used gear, so it'll be another week before an "official" NBD post... but I am pretty psyched! Ordered up a set of TI flats for it as well.

I owned one for a while. It was a really nice bass. The neck was very comfortable. I have the stock pickup for sale in the classified section. I traded the bass and some cash for a SR5.

Here's mine, with its current maple fretted fingerboard. I like its look, but my other Ps sound better.

Wow, looks cool with the maple board!

Have you changed the pickup too?

one week from today, I will be putting the TIs on this bass! The waiting is agony!

The TIs just came in from musicians friend. Man, they look nice, even all coiled up you can tell these are a quality string. I hope they live up to the hype!

TI's have made playing my P a dream. And they are indeed beautiful. Less "sticky" then other new flats I've played.
