Man is that Sweet. Thanks for the GAS. It appears to say Made in Japan on the headstock and the back of the neck.

It is a MIJ. It felt really well built. Smooth fret ends, pickups sounded clear and responsive.

My local music store got one of those in. We saw them at the NAMM Show. It is very cool, indeed. Nicely made and it sounds terrific. I believe Fender Japan made 300 for American consuption. If you can get one, they are an exceptional value, in my opinion. Oh, by the way, the color is Aged Red, a little darker than Candy Apple.
