Evidently the word is out on these AM Special necks, so selling your existing one shouldn't be a problem if it stays like new.
Regarding your earlier post, I haven't recorded anything with the honeyburst so far. My "Number One" is still the '65 Precision I've had for a long time that is my main recording P-Bass. It is somewhat of a mongrel with its Warmoth Jazz neck and Lollar pickup but it's otherwise all original.

When I saw someone looking at Fenders, I put this bass in their hands. If I couldn't have it I wanted someone else to buy it.
