Thinking of getting one of them too. | I think it works great with the Jag. As long as you understand it's a very warm, vintage tone. The EQ works really well also, to help shape your tone.

Well........I have an American Jazz, butterscotch in color, with the S1 switch.
The American jazz has the Jag beat in everything except looks. IMHO.
However, the Jag looks cooler than anything else in my collection, and it plays and sounds great!
The Jag also cost more than twice what the Jazz cost. (The Jazz was a pawn shop prize. $275 with OHSC   )
