I too spend a bit of time drooling over stuff we can't get here..or more accurately, stuff I can't afford to get sent over here..

That Walnut Jazz is gorgeous! There's an '82 all-walnut Fen. P I've been gassing for on CL that had me searching for more, and I found the same Jazz as you. Which inspired me to shut off the computer and pout for a while, until I thought about checking USACG and Warmoth

Man, according to current currency conversion rates, the JB75 is $1200. Goodness, my $180 E-series P bass just keeps looking better everyday!

My favorite Fender Japan model (though that might have to change, I don't believe they sell them anymore).

OP, you are naughty. I should be thinking about things other than unobtainable basses. That walnut is something else. Me like!

I gotta admit, I kind of like the Fender Japan JB V. Especially since they offer it in black with a rosewood fingerboard. But from what I can surmise I think the neck is actually a bit narrower than that of the American Standard 5 string.

I love those 'E' series ('84-'87 era) basses; can't say enough good stuff about 'em... my '91 p is no slouch either, LOL...

The metal plate the knobs under the knobs. If that was the same as the pickguard material it would look MUCH better I think.

Nah, that would make it look cheap. Black and chrome always looks good.
