| | Registered User | | | | Check it out I made these jazz control plates--zebra, Birdseye maple, & I think ash burl--from veneers cemented on to plates. http://www.flickr.com/photos/79731444@N00/8212274980
So there's a real plate up in there not just wood, which I was told is problematic to have wood only. I'm doing p & j pickguards in elm burl & ash burl too. Eventually I'll veneer my j after I skinny the back. Just got a belt sander so I'm cutting some fat off my jazz to lighten it. |

Yes, thin wood wouldn't probably be strong enough, plus you need metal for shielding. You could put foil on the back of the wood but then the wood would need be thicker. So I think metal plus wood gives you shielding plus strength and also the looks
Sweet! |

Flat's on this and rounds on the RIC. I'm liking it.
One thing, years ago, I took off the S-1 plate and controls on my Jazz and installed an Audere. Nothing wrong with that preamp but I hardly ever move the controls and leave it in flat position. I want to go back to passive. However, over the years, the wife tossed it by accident.
Where can I get a Fender replacement? Not those cheap China made ones from ebay. Thanks.

I was skeptical about what the outcome will be, but I think it is a nice color, the medium gray and blue. actual on the can says that it is gray, but as you can see so it is more close to blue.

and we've had plenty spray cans should be thrown out, and I asked if I can get them

I have eyes on DP123, DP149, Fender Super 55 Split Coil Pickups Jazz or any other set of Seymour Duncan's selection or EMG's selection. but I doubt about in which I want
im also planing to get new pickguard, pearl or tort"
