Sorry, my bad... I should have posted more pics. It can be a bit misleading, because of the PJ pickup configuration. 2005 American Deluxe Jazz. Ser.#DZ5154118.

NICE!! Tell us a bit more about these little guys please. Did you make them, buy them or what? Those might look really cool on my black P or J.

Weird, the headstock says Jazz Bass but the body is definitely a Precision.

Whats the purpose if the grid-kinda-washers under the tone knobs on a stack knob jazz? I just put them on again recently.

Anyone know the real reason for them being there?

Thanks I made them. It's a pain in the butt: I flatten veneer which takes about a week, then sand down a pickguard for traction. I trace the pg on to the veneer leaving a little margin, & cut it, glue the veneer on to the pg with boat epoxy (strong & dries hard) then shape it with a file. Then sand it for a while. Then clear coat it several times, sand w/ wet-dry paper & coat again. On some I used rubbing compound & buffed out.
I can do it for you. The best thing to do is send me an existing pg that fits on your bass or guitar, then I pimp it out for you.

I'm in! I'll post when I get back home from work.
PS - I realise it's a loose connection but are Squier jazz basses allowed too?
