Here is my '05 MIM Fender Deluxe Jazz! I love this thing! Would it be to much trouble to get a number?

Thanks, I guess I should have been more specific and asked about the width of the nut which is:
1.875" (47.6 mm)

Fingerboard radius is not width. It's the curve of the fingerboard: low on the bass side, higher in the middle, back to low on the G side. The larger the radius number in inches, the flatter the curve of the fingerboard. Vintage jazz necks are 7.25 inch and have more curve in the fingerboard than your new bass. I hope you are clear on this now.

I don't think that's a '05, it should be a little bit older. It still has Suhr pickups and those were used by Fender till '01 or '02 maybe... I own a '00 and I love it!

Hmmmm, interesting. It was advertised as an '05. And from what I understand of the serial number says it is... but for sure worth looking into deeper. Thanks. regardless I still love it and it plays and sounds great.

Hey...just wondering about getting a number? We did buy the bass new from a Fender dealer and that is the way it came. I understood that they were playing around with the Anerican Deluxe models around 2005 by offering the pj pickup option. The neck is slim and has a radius like other jazz necks. I have owned several over the last 30 years.

Thanks,
Terry

So,
After doing what I should've done when I first got the bass, instead of listening to others tell me it seems my jazz is actually an '03-'04 make. This came straight from Fender. Sgtpepper, as for the p-ups, could be aftermarket...I dunno. :banghead:
