Sorry, I failed to to tell everyone what is what.
Top is a Fender Roadworn Jazz that I bought from a guy here in town for a steal. It really does feel like a bass that I have owned and played for years. And I am not a fan of artificial relic basses.
The bass below was quite an adventure. It is a Franken Jazz. 2011 Fender Highway One body, and a 2011 Highway One neck from a different bass. I started with Fender Custom Shop 60s pick ups and had the wiring harness made up by SGD.
I wanted an outrageous ode to 70's funk and something different so it's painted in brilliant lavender sparkle (also known as statatory grape) by Marty Bell. It was a lot of fun to bring together and plays like a dream thanks to luthier John Pytel.
