Fender p bass MIM squier series?

Sign in to disble this ad
so i popped into a local pawn shop and saw a fender p bass that was made in mexico but on the top of the headstock im pretty sure it said squier series. ive never heard of the mexican squier series, only ones made in japan, which from looking at classifieds are regarded highly for the money you pay for them. is this like fairly rare or not? if not we can just put this forum to rest. the bast was 200 plus Canadian tax (ugh) so not bad for a fender p. the serial number indicated it was made in 1995

People here will probably tell you it's a Squier, but it's a little more complex than that. Check down lower in this thread:

YW. Personally, for $200C I'd snag it. If I couldn't talk them down, of course.

Same place I got the information on my P bass. I do know they feel and Play great... Too bad I have to sell mine, it's really one of the better basses I've ever played.
