to me it is fake. The angle of the decal doesn't seem right, the pickguard doesn't fit properly. I think it may be a P bass body with a Licenced neck with a fender Decal, but not Fender.

Hi Eddie. Looks a bit dodgy to me.

Decal looks wrong, string spacing on the E is weird...
Tuners look like they've been put on by a chimpanzee.

What's it being sold "as"?

Yeah, that pickguard isn't quite right, is it?

And I don't know of any stock regular Fender precision with a late 60's/70's style headstock logo that came through the process with such a well figured neck...if it's real, it would be a rarity (I have held necks that had some figuring and one late 70's Strat with a birds eye maple neck.

The whole thing looks pretty suspicious if its being passed off as a stock Fender. Could still be worth 500 bucks though.

Is it the 70's style neck, late 50's anodized pickguard (with 70's style quality fit and finish), flame maple neck Reissue? I think they gave that one the model number 70/59(70)FMNRI.

first of all, Precision basses never had a bullet truss rod adjuster. the frets also look way too big and the radius looks to be less than 7.25".
the tuning keys are reverse tuners so those are inncorrect too.

looks like it may be a refinned, (possibly re-radiused) and refretted jazz bass neck with a precision bass decal on it to me.

Wow, the action on that thing is amazing.
It's tough to tell if the decal is blurry, or the photo is blurry, but the decal looks way off.

As said by a couple others, the frets are the wrong size, and the neck looks to be the wrong radius. Looks more like an "ebay parts special" to me more than anything.
