Buy it and either love it or sell it for enough to buy a new Squier.

But seriously, I do love it despite not being in love with the look. Or the pickups. I gutted the preamp and pickups and put in Duncan Quarter Pounders. Much better now. Reacts very well to really hot passive pickups.

The CV's are great basses for the money but the Fender Lytes are my favorite. Two of mine were mint condition instruments and the quality was superb. However, really nice Lytes usually sell for $500 to $700,so you have a chance to steal one.

| | | | I had a P-Lyte many years ago. Unfortunayely it got trashed at an out of controll keg party back in my wilder days! It was a good bass, and agree on the good price.

| | | I went for the P lyte. It had a chip on the back so I got it for $200. It feels and sounds amazing. I cleaned it up and I feel like I just got a great deal |

I didn't really dig the look (bass looked too small on my I thought), so I sold it. It was a nice bass though... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
