You really can't go wrong with either one. I really love my CV P, though, and wouldn't trade it for much of anything. I might add something else, but won't get rid of this one.

That seems like a really good price for a P Lyte.

Yeah, that's a great price on the Lyte.

Buy it and either love it or sell it for enough to buy a new Squier.

LOL! As long as I don't have to be seen with it

But seriously, I do love it despite not being in love with the look. Or the pickups. I gutted the preamp and pickups and put in Duncan Quarter Pounders. Much better now. Reacts very well to really hot passive pickups.

I've owned two CV's and three Fender Lytes. The CV's are great basses for the money but the Fender Lytes are my favorite. Two of mine were mint condition instruments and the quality was superb. However, really nice Lytes usually sell for $500 to $700,so you have a chance to steal one.

I had a P-Lyte many years ago. Unfortunayely it got trashed at an out of controll keg party back in my wilder days! It was a good bass, and agree on the good price.

A Lyte that isn't totally trashed for $235 is a helluva bargain...

I went for the P lyte. It had a chip on the back so I got it for $200. It feels and sounds amazing. I cleaned it up and I feel like I just got a great deal

That's a fantastic price for the P Lyte! That would have been my choice, even if the Lyte was $100 more. it's a nice bass, enjoy!

It's a sunburst one. It's nice and shiny now. I'll post pics later.

I used to have a P Lyte that I put EMG's in. I don't know if I would like the tone now, but I loved it back then (early 90's). I didn't really dig the look (bass looked too small on my I thought), so I sold it. It was a nice bass though...
