Fender P Special

Now I have did some research and did read reviews, however I am curious as to the opinions of my fellow TB'ers regarding the Fender Precision Special bass? I currently have a chance to buy a 1998 Made in Mexico Fender Precision Special bass. It is all stock and is black in body color, gold aluminum pick guard, features the P and one Jazz pickup configuration, rosewood neck, and chrome hardware. It says deluxe series on the headstock as well. The bass sounds good and is in pretty good shape for being over 10 years old. Just wanted to know how others feel about the MIM Fender Precision Special bass?

I think they can be great basses/spectacular values. I have an older MIM Fender Precision standard, and I love it. Completely stock, needs nothing to rock the house. If it feels comfortable in your hands and it's what you want, I wouldn't hesisitate for one moment. I hope this helps.
