Fender Pawn Shop Series

OK, so this is intriguing, on the guitar side. My questions are, will they make a bass product, and what might it be?

Discuss.

Interesting how the pawn shop series looks a lot like the new Reverend lineup.

And it was on April 1st. I assumed it was a joke.

Doesn't matter to me, if they do something interesting or different they won''t have 5-strings anyhow, so it won't effect me.

I think that mustang special is REALLY cool.

here's my contribution to the Fender Pawn shop special series. 62 P w/ badassII bridge and jazz PU added. both knobs wired v/v with tone hardwired to 100% CRANK.

you listening, Fender?

Upside down head stock and 2 tbird/bucker type pickups on a p body, nitro finish, with a color over a color relic.

Spray painted black p with a white broken guard by the jack. And a super sticky neck that would be sweet!

It would basically be a roadworn P or J with some horrible ass mod , maybe another refin over it , horrible action , rusty ass strings , a stinky grime build up on the fingerboard and some stickers added

To be ugly enough for this collection, it would need a bridge mudbucker too, perhaps a SCPB in the middle....and maybe some Jazzmaster switches....and list for $1200.

Does this mean they'll come with a price tag that's stuck like glue to the body, a rediculously high action and a 200% financing option?

Like I mentioned in the OTHER Fender Pawn Shop Series thread, I like having extra options so I guess it's a good thing.

I'm still not seeing any basses, though? Basses NAO PLZ.

Something about predefined factory muckery just doesn't shout YAY with me. The glory of a pawn shop bass is paying 150 bucks for it then modding it. Not paying 600+ for a mass produced one of a kind bass.

Why? People buy Rics all the time. (Dear Ric mafia: That was a joke!)

If a wonky bass is what you want, then you should be able to buy one!

That '72 Strat was pretty cool.

Now, if they made the bass version with the chambered F-hole thing, that would be interesting.

VS.
Robin Ranger, going back to before 1983...
