Fender Precision bass real or not?

Hi talk bass, I'm new to this site. I need your help, is this bass real or not? I'm thinking of buying it, and I really like the look of it. If it is fake, is it really worth buying? thanks.

Hard to tell from the two pics as they're both the same!

Tinting on the headstock looks real enough and at the price it'll be a steal.

Looks nice.

For that price ($280 USD) I would take a chance IF I happened to want a P bass with that finish at the moment. Lots of parts basses play as well or better than all-original Fenders of that era. There aren't too many serviceable basses available at that price point.

“You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya punk?” (sorry, Clint...)

It isn't. It's a Japanese lawsuit copy from the seventies. If you look close, you'll see the headstock is made from 2 pieces of wood (you'll see a horizontal line underneath the tuners), something Fender never did. The shape of the pickguard is off, you can see it's a decal (wrong curvature),...

The headstock and Fender logo decal do not look right.

Just look at the nut and the way the headstock is 2 pieces of wood, not fender.
