This bass was 'off line' for about a year while a played another. When I got it back from the repair shop, the controls confused me. It works as one volume knob and 3 tone knobs. These bass have 2 pickups. Any other owners out there comment. Is it back to the shop with this?

It is active, 9v battery, but 2 sets of pickups, so I wonder. No material on Fender's site, thank you for the suggestion anyway. I'm browsing stores looking for another one to try. Other owners?

Still learning how to get this thing heard in gigs. Both the tone controls BTW have a stop in the middle. Pretty sure that is the "0" stop and you gain or loose tone by turning (vs a 0-10). The previous owner installed 0-10 speed knobs on it, so I was a little confused.

Just read in another post that the batteries drain if you leave the cord plugged in. Thanks to JeffK.

Read elsewhere that these necks are a special length to make up for the smaller size of the body, likely wouldn't be able to find a replacement.
