Fender Precision made in Korea

When did Fender make Precision basses in Korea? Not ones with Squier names on them, just Fender. What's the general consensus of the quality and value of these?

Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about the ones with the 'Big Fender,Little Squier' logos on the headstock, I think it was sometime in the mid 90's. I had one of these that I bought new for ~$200 from Guitar Center about that time. It played great and stayed together well, other than the nut that held one of the pots to the pickguard rotting out. It was a neck diver, but nothing a non-slick strap didn't solve.

The serial number website doesn't really have them nailed down.

I had a Made in Korea Fender Precision. There were no Squier decals on it. It is very difficult to get any info on the these models but I think it was made in 1981, it had a CN 304 serial number. The bass was nice, near mint condition. Quality, fit and finish was like the early MIM's Nice but not great. It was very light and looked like it was lacquer but I did not veyify that. I sold it for $450. The buyer knew what it was and it fit nicely in his collection.

The bass I'm referring to does not have the little Squier logo on the headstock, just Fender. Supposedly it was made in 93. Trying to find some info about the bass.

Thanks.

Are you sure there was never a Squier logo on it? I have one that someone carefully removed the little Squier logo from, leaving just the larger Fender logo. You have to look really close to tell that the Squier logo was sanded off and finished over.
