Fender A/E, I believe. They pop up on ebay occasionally, and get snapped up pretty quickly.

I own the fretless version. It was manufactured in the early 90's, had the model number PBAC-100 and was know as the Precision A/E. It has a mahogany body, spruce top, "A" width neck, Lace Sensor split pickup and a piezo bridge. It was offered in two finishes, blonde and sunburst. The three knobs control volume, tone (active) and the blend between the two pickups. The piezo is on the thin side and there are some aftermarket buffers available that will fatten up the sound. I've purchased the Cafe Walter buffer but have yet to install it. They show up on eBay from time to time and typically sell in the $800-$900 range.

One of my life regrets is one came up for sale locally a while back and I didn't jump on it.

I ha done back in late 80s, early 90s when I worked at a music shop. I wish I had keep that bass. It would have sounded great with some tapewounds on it.

I'v found one of these Fender Precision A/E "used" but I can't go the 300km fort a personal test, at this moment.
I've tested Godin A4 and (the older) Accustibass model.
How does this bass stand up in a competition to Godin A4/Godin accustibass?

Anyone who have tested both Godin A4/accustibass and Fender Precisoin A/E?

I don't like acoustic basses and the one I played was rather DEAD like an acustic bass. Don't let me rain on anyones parade, I'm just not cut out to play anything with holes in the body They do look cool though
