Fender started using pearloid pickguards when?

Hey, I've got a pearloid pickguard and there's a bit of disharmoney here at home about when they started showing up. So I'll pose these questions to y'all.
Did, and if so, when, did Fender start using pearloid pickguards on P-Bass's?
When did RI's start showing up?
Screw holes?
Appreciate it

RI's started showing up around 1990, I believe. I have a 1992 US '62 RI strat and they'd been out for only a year or two at the time.

Pearloid first came from the Fender factory on special editions in the early to mid 80's, I believe.

The American Vintage series started in 1982, but didn't show up to dealers until '83 if I remember correctly what John Evans has said.

I don't recall any production Ps with a pearloid PG, except for the Hoppus...not sure if that counts, and there may have been others.
