I've recently become interested in the Fender V, The one with the High C string. It seems like the only 5-string bass I would be willing to own. But how to obtain one? |

also start by typing in Fender Bass V in your search engine. There will be some crap links, but, you just weed them out. those are pretty rare, most people that have them, keep them. A lot did not survive the 1970's. Good luck and happy hunting!

Thumpin_P | Thx man. Trouble it just comes up with links to regular fender % string basses. If I cannot find one, I may just get a custom made one when I can afford it. |

Or is this a trick question?
If not, I humbly suggest that you don't rob yourself of the joys a low B string can provide.

But I still say don't avoid the low B string! I love mine, I should have gotten one in the 70s!

| | | | 5 stringers I had one of my Modulus 5er's set up with a high C (flats)
and my Azola EUB also sports a high C (ala Chubby Jackson).
I love it for reading big band charts---less shifting--can get all the way up to an Eb in half position.

| | | | I'm actually thinking of tuning the "C" to a "B" and having an almost contra-bass |
