Fender V deluxe active jazz, buzz when I take hand off strings o.O

Yeah the title kinda explains it :/

I've had it for about 2 weeks and i've noticed that when I take my hands completely of the bass there is a crackley fuzz sound like really REALLY bad feedback or white noise. But what's weird is I don't think it's a problem with the pick ups. If I put a finger on the bridge with no other contact with the guitar, the crackley poppy interferance feedback white noise nightmare dies down.

Any1 know if this is a fault with the series, or with my one, or if there is anything I can do to prevent it? Apart from that and a slight fault with the preamp where occasionally the controls will do nothing (o.O) it's perfect.

(I can usually get the controls back to normal by turning the amp off and on)

any1 got any suggestions?

that's far from perfect, and you could have a bad preamp or loose connections/solder joints. If it's new, return it!

I would send it straight back. depending on the music store personnel, they may not have any clue and send it back themselves. Where did you buy it from?

There is a certain amount of buzz on single coil, and when you touch anything metal that is grounded, like the control plate, bridge, strings etc, the buzz goes away. If it does not go away, then you have a disconnected ground, bad preamp, bad pickup or the power outlets you are using are connected to another source of noise.

I had a bathroom light in my previous house that would cause loud buzzing in a completely shielded EMG equipped bass in a different room!!! I thought it was EMF interference but somehow the outlet down the hall from the bathroom, which I was using for the amp, was responsible. Keeping the light in the bathroom on but moving to a different outlet in the room: no buzz.
