I finally finished my Fenderbird! I bought a 1997 Epiphone Non Reverse Thunderbird off my guitarist and really went to town. It took me a long time to complete (stupid full time job always getting in the way), but I took it to practice on Sunday and it sounds and plays great!
It went from this... |

Mighty Mite neck, DiMarzio Model P, Peavey T40, Gotoh bridge, new hardware, Chromes! It plays and sounds amazing! Normally I don't brag on my own midget, but I'm really thrilled with the way it turned out--actually playable! |

How's the sound? Maybe one more mod- put in a coil splitter for the T-40 pickup so you can run it single coil. OR a series/parallel switch!
I'll bet you'll be kicking my old Yamaha to the curb in favor of this sexy new wench, eh?
But seriously- kudos man- looks AWESOME!

Next up--a Les Paul, sadly. But I'm putting a Bigsby on it! |

Plus, I kind of like the originality of it. Not saying there aren't others, but there can't be TOO MANY others... |
