| | | | First Gibson Bass New 2012 Gibson Destroyer Bass. I like really like the sound of this bass. I like that I can rest my arm on the horn when I slap or finger pick. The upper frets are a stretch away because of the body style but I will get used to it. |

It's funny when I play one of my Precisions, takes some time to find the right fret :-) Feels like a shortscale. |

| | | | Still love my old EB-1. My first bass. Spent many days and hours with it. Though I have moved on to other basses, I still pull it out from time to time. |

Same here.
I still have my first Gibson, 1960 EBO.
Although I play mainly Fenders now, I can't seem to let the Gibson go.
It records wonderful. |

(as in low notes, frets 1,2,3,4,5), would be difficult. |

Every time I use my Gibson, I get good compliments from band mates and audience peeps. Also I notice that the shape causes me to pick/pluck closer to the bridge for increased attack.
Try shifting towards your bridge pickup and then dial back the tone. Pretty scrappy!
