flea's custom jazz bass
 

No i don't think his 61 jazz is a custom bass.

i just saw this video i have never seen this bass before. Wondering if any one know anything about it. i haven't search very hard in google yet.

I hadn't seen that video. I really respect Flea and the Chili Peppers as a band for their complete love of music even though I haven't been a fan of their stuff since One Hot Minute.

Flea is a great player, but this really shows how much he loves music.

Cool bass! I really dig the look of the neck with block inlays on each fret and dots superimposed on the inlays. Very cool

It's not really my thing but at the same time I like it. I would alsolike to see other videos to hear

I read before that it is a 1962 modified Jazz.

I think I read it's a vintage jazz with real butterfly wings under the clear coat made by artist Damien Hirst.
