That must mean the 30th Anniversary basses are already in the cue.

The Fodera Team at 29 Years Old

Okay gang, I will explain who everyone is...

BTW, very sadly, I was only on the phone during this celebration as my son Steven had an important doctors appointment that I had to take him to yesterday afternoon. The photo was actually taken by a Customer that was at the shop...

From left to right and front to back...

-Vinny (need I explain?)
-Vadym (building since he was 6, he does finish carving, inlays, lots of complicated detail work. A true Master).
-Laura Fodera (customer service)
-Bartek (sanding, rough wood work, light carving)
-Joe (carving, preparing FB's, fretting, set-ups)
-Joey (again, need I explain? LOL)
-Holly (head of customer service)
-Andreas (wood prep, general shop work)
-Amanda (customer service, photography and website work)
-Rob (wood work, production organization, spraying, detailed artwork, butterfly inlays, just a jack of all trades!)
-Nick (finish sanding, woodwork)
-James (woodwork, fret work, set-ups)
-Ken (production management, finance)

-Jason (me) - Not pictured
-Ernie (not pictured) - Production Scheduling
-Frankie (not pictured) - wood work
-Shane (not pictured) - Finance and Accounting

That's the team. We are really blessed in that we all care about one another like family and share a common focus on being the very best that we can be. And, a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND THANKS to all of YOU that keep us getting up each morning to do this!

Cheers,

J

This is international flight and I already confirm with the airline that I have to check the bass. Do you think the Fodera Hardshell Case would be good enough to protect the bass? Assuming that I packed the bass with bubble wrap really really well and put fragile stickers everywhere. Or do you guys have any recommendation for a decent / cheap flight case but better than hardshell case? If I fly regularly, I'll get a custom flight case that is around $800 - $1000, but the problem is I won't be flying often.

I know shipping to Singapore using Fedex would be the best, but it's not cheap either. The shipping cost alone is about $ 400 - $500 without the insurance. Also I already made a mistake by shipping the bass from Fodera to my address in US in the first place, and it already cost me about $200. So, the bottom line is I'll keep my option open, since I'll be flying too. If shipping is the best solution, I'll ship the bass using Fedex. I would like to say thank you upfront for anyone who can help me, and I really appreciate it.

Last but not least, Happy Birthday to Fodera!!
I went back to Europe with my Fodera, I just got iGig case and took it with me in the plane...

Btw. First I started to be a fan of fodera when I tried AJ model back in 2002 in LA.

And then after 8 years I got my MG model 5 strings when I was 33, as I really like 6 string (been playing it for 15 years now), I thing I'll order another one just need to decide which one... But I think it will be MG model.

:-)

Hi, which model did you buy. I'm thinking of buying the Igig double case, but I'm worried that some airways won't allow it onboard if it's too bulky..Cheers!

That performance by Oteil and Christian is amazing. It should be a promo for Fodera! haha. Such amazing tones and unparalleled playing. I love the contrast between the fretless 4 string and the fretted 6 string!

American Idol Fodera

I know it's been asked before but what are the specs of the Fodera the bass player on AI is playing? Maple top/fingerboard, but what is the body wood, scale length and such?
