I was just reading about this player John D'Ercole, on the newborn page, and I'm pretty impressed by what I'm hearing here. He had the 6 monarch that just got finished.

I usually don't like the classical electric bass thing much because I don't usually find it beautiful sounding enough, but with the Fodera tone it's actually working for me!

+1.

Not my thing at all, but he does it very nicely.

Makes me realize I need to play my bass more and surf TalkBass less!

This baby (this is only a computer moch up) should be done in the spring. Counting down the days...

33" w/smaller body, 26 frets, Ebony fb &covers, maple neck, light walnut body, ash block

I can't say enough about just how great the experience of dealing with Jason and Fodera has been.

Very nice. He has a very sweet tone. Does it sound like he has his pickups blended 50/50 or is he favoring the rear pickup?

Not going to lie, Jason is very nice to deal with. He actually makes me want to buy a Fodera.

Jason,

since John D'Ercole seems to have 2 or 3 of this Quilted Maple 6 string Monarchs - what is the difference on his models ? The string spacing ?

At just 25 years old, he certainly shows a lot of promise.
Gotta love the Cello Suite Prelude he does here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOf31...feature=relmfu

Welcome to the Fodera Family John.
