I could be wrong though |

Shouldn't be a time difference between them and custom instruments if that is the case. Of course, this is all interpretive and Jason will set it straight shortly, I'm sure.

You are correct that the price list has two different approximate wait times for artist/non-artist custom bulids, I wonder why that is. Quote:

I can imagine that an exact "by the books" artist representation already has neck billets set aside for when someone might order it. (Or something similar to this). Absolute custom build times might vary depending on the complexity of the order... although it's all hyperbole from me, since I'm guessing. |

I'm pretty sure you can get custom options on artist models. I sure got a bunch on my Viceroy. It has a lot in common with Mike Pope's (body wood, scale, ebony board, bolt-on maple neck, Fodera/Duncan pickups), but also a lot of differences (5-string, no movable pickup, no removable frets, no extended B headstock - Garrison 3+2 style instead). To a certain extent, the guys at Fodera will do whatever you want on a custom. BTW, mine came in right on time.
Here's a comparison.

I have an Imp 5 FL 36" (looks like Mahogany body w/some figuring on the top) - that a bought from an individual - 2 tiny dings in the headstock. |
Absolutely, I asked Jason the same question and Fodera can supply you with a formal insurance appraisal for a nominal fee; You'll need to submit photos and serial numbers. Many thanks to Jason and Phil, the service was ultra-fast and definitely worth it.
Cheers... |

What I do know is that there are only 1-1.5 months left for my new Custom now

My Emperor Standard is the same time away but my wait has been pretty reasonable.
I don't know how people wait 2+ years (or 30+ months like a few years ago) for a new Fodera. Guess I just don't have the patience.

LOL. Artist models are built in exactly the same time as full customs...sorry for the confusion!!
