It's always great to read new articles on your favourite builder, but agreed, those few mistakes/misquotes detract from what should be a stellar read i.e "The Anthony Jackson Presentation a $20,000 5-string contrabass"?
After the howler by Bassplayer magazine for releasing the details of the new standard line way in advance, I would've thought that press releases/articles would be returned to Fodera for final approval before publishing. It would save for a lot of head scratching...

Fodera has such a huge selection of woods. Its gonna be tough to narrow it down to one.

Since it is so rare (and the supply very limited), I expect BR equipped basses to gain value in the next years.

Very fine indeed and like fodera they do very much have a distinctive tone to them(well, the ones I tried from both companies did ).
A tone I like a lot!
Any pics of the basses he made for you?

But it's a way different then Fodera but not in a bad way. I liked it a lot when I first tried it. |

Station Music is also the largest Fodera dealer in Germany.
They have this wonderful Elite. I am not a fan of spalted maple, but this one is truly outstanding.

I know station music.
They have a lot. From when I went my impression was that they Possibly had too much to really take proper care of the instruments there.

| | All bass, no talent! Me endorsed? | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada | | Michele,
I have owned multiple 700RB-II (at least 3) and Ampeg (SVT-CL, SVT-VR, SVT-II, vintage SVTs) tube amps and think Monique is better than anything made by either. Just IMO/IME, but Monique really does give big tube warmth but with super clear articulation. Sounds almost like a very articulate SVT.
Also, it seems to work with any bass.... My vintage Fenders, Modulus, MTD 535, Spector, etc (my Fodera won't be delivered until February).
Also, it isn't super expensive IMO. I run mine with a $350 (new) Crest poweramp and it sounds amazing and has more than enough headroom.
The only thing Monique won't do is crazy raunchy distortion, but there are pedals for that!
Truly a great amp IMO. I have no need for anything else. Quote:

I know what you mean. Most of the Foderas do not stay long, though. Cant say the same about the high priced Alembics :-)
