Another great example -- We have just one Pink Ivory log left in the shop suitable for FB's. We just cut it in half last week. It has been sitting in the shop for over 20 years. Size-wise it could yield 20-30 FB's. Sadly, given the amount of checking inside we will be lucky to get 3 or 4 FB's. We might actually only get 2!
You when you price the really rare, exotic stuff, all of that has to get factored in...

Its very reassuring that you guys at the shop take time and make sure you put out the best quality piece. It would really be bad if yall just chased the money and numbers and sell woods with many imperfections to people.

Wonder if anyone would consider trading his Monarch 4 Elite or VW with my 1986 Emperor Elite 5. Lately I don't play much with 5 strings bass.

I have other basses but they don't do for me what the Foderas do. For the straps otoh, I prefer the cheaper Levy. But I do own both brands. Unlike most who seem to want to dwell on price.
