Another great example -- We have just one Pink Ivory log left in the shop suitable for FB's. We just cut it in half last week. It has been sitting in the shop for over 20 years. Size-wise it could yield 20-30 FB's. Sadly, given the amount of checking inside we will be lucky to get 3 or 4 FB's. We might actually only get 2!

You when you price the really rare, exotic stuff, all of that has to get factored in...

Its very reassuring that you guys at the shop take time and make sure you put out the best quality piece. It would really be bad if yall just chased the money and numbers and sell woods with many imperfections to people.

I don't remember the start date, but the end date should be in a couple weeks, and yes 26 frets bolt on.

Aww man, I was really hoping my next bass could have pink ivory as a fretboard, im guessing it'll all be gone by the time I get around to ordering #2.

Do Fodera make custom straps too? Or does someone have to buy their own.

I use Levy or Moody leather. Truth be told, I think the Moody are overpriced. The Levy padded 3 or 4" leather is great.

Hi,
Wonder if anyone would consider trading his Monarch 4 Elite or VW with my 1986 Emperor Elite 5. Lately I don't play much with 5 strings bass.

I use the Levy 4-inch leather. They are very comfortable and nicely finished.

And durable too. I've used my main strap constantly for around ten years with alot of Dunlop-equipped basses and it's in great shape. So is the Dunlop strap hardware for that matter.

I've got Dunlops on mine too because my Foderas and LeCompte have inset straplock receptacles. I use Schallers on most of my others.

It is surprising that the word "overpriced" showed up in your post...particularly in this Fodera Club thread

Ever since playing and owning one, I've never considered a Fodera to be overpriced. I have other basses but they don't do for me what the Foderas do. For the straps otoh, I prefer the cheaper Levy. But I do own both brands. Unlike most who seem to want to dwell on price.

Mgs ramp

Hey nostatic,

How do you like the mgs minus the ramp? Was it difficult to remove / how was it attached?
