I hope that makes sense!

| Hmm... Something else for me to play with...cool. Any feel for how the sound in changes with one pole piece?
Are there any 5 string pickups available like this? |

When we saw him at the 55Bar, it was his trusty Imperial Olive 5 that he wowed the club audience with. World class chops and a real nice fellow to boot. |

Then about a year and a half ago I saw it advertised on Craigslist (London) I'm sure it was a scam. (I didn't get caught!) The guy had loads of pictures that he emailed me of but I passed on it, something didn't seem right! Then a few months later I saw the real owner (who was actually in Australia i think) was selling it and said he'd had it for over a year!

Did a trio hit tonight in a typical tough room. This time I was stuffed back in an alcove. Had the Baer cab sitting on the cart, Monique into the power section of the Puma. Perfect tone, volume, and support. Two tracks, first one MGS, second the YYD on the bridge pup. I may have spoken too soon about changing up the order from ebony to maple fretboard. I love the tone of the YYD. http://nostatic.com/mp3/28dec12/joe.mp3 http://nostatic.com/mp3/28dec12/clay.mp3

Since I have never been able to personally hear the difference between a dual pole C and a single pole C on the same instrument, I can only answer based on what Joey has told me and that is that the C-string "sings" a little bit more openly...that said, I have not personally experienced a newly built 5er strung E-C with dual poles for the C that sounded anything less than excellent...

Funny, I never sounded like that! The bass itself was exceptional (although it had been fretted by a third party by the time I owned it), hmm, maybe less TB and more wood shedding for me?

They are now in my 1996 Monarch Elite. I am not sure if they were the PUP's in the bass back when Richard was playing it or not. When I sold it, I replaced them with a set of our Fodera / Duncan single coils. This was a way of me maintaining some connection to that bass more than anything else...

I've owned 3 maple basses, 3 pauferro, and 7 ebony. Personally my favorites were ebony, maple, pauferro in that order. Just my .02. |

Then I traded it for VW classic. That bass had a mahagony body buckeye top and an Indian rosewood fingerboard. So I would say BR, IR, ebony, maple. In that order. What other woods are being used for the bass? |
