i think it must have been a trip for her to see that her husband is a *legend* . . . | SO COOL!!!!

You should post that clip there so people can drool as I am... man it's really punchy and has sustain... I was blown how whole bass is passive and sounds like it doesn't need preamp
But again have to say that case look awesome!!!
Too bad it's not a righty

You we're right about the white pup cases, black looks great. So, let us know all about the joy's of pure passive tone in the next few weeks.
Glad you mentioned the smell.. The new cases and the fresh smell of the finished bass just makes lovely scent there's nothing like it..
Enjoy in good health.. |

My Emperor is shipping this week and even though I am pretty low maintenance generally, I made it crystal clear to my retailer that he does not even think about unpacking my bass until I get there! first glimpse, touch.... And yes... Smell... ALL MINE!

FWIW, here's a story I related to my distributor Dave Scovell of Ultimate Basses, a wonderful gent..
"I had an unfortunate accident with the MG. I got through customs and was waiting for a cab and decided to have a coffee. I placed my large Samsonite case next to a table & chair and stood the bass on end against them. This old guy (sorry, I'm not really ageist) comes along with a trolley of cases and tries to wade between tables, so the other guests ask him can't he go round the outside. I swear I thought he was backing up so I took my eye off him for a few seconds only to hear guitar case crash to the floor, it literally pole axed on it's side. What happened is that a young girl one table away decided to move the chair that my case and guitar were sitting against ... Boy was I not amused! She apologised and the old guy didn't say a word just shoved his 10 case trolley further into nest of tables. On inspection it looks fine although there's a little grazing to a couple of frets where the case lid & neck support were tight, but it's a great endorsement for the new styled case". Quote:

I considered that at one time, but was afraid it might look like a painted bass - it doesn't. It looks rich and creamy.

Sorry for a bit of a geeky question, but what kind of pots are on your bass?
