I assume you all saw the Fodera email about this review by Bass Gear Mag of the MG standard:

http://btpub.boyd-printing.com/publi...?i=143796&p=20

I had just read it a few days ago. Those guys have pretty high standards, so it's very flattering! Never seen them gush so much.

Congrats to fodera, I saw that too. It is a great bass. It's the only bass I've ever had that I liked exponentially with time.

Incredibly versatile, and ironically it has the best slap tone of all my basses too. I think Morado is totally under rated as a fingerboard wood. If it was expensive/rare I think you would see it on more customs.

I'm hoping I can justify keeping my mgs once the custom is done. The custom should be done next month, and its similar to the mgs. Same basic pickup setup and body style, but with an ash block, chambered walnut, Koa top, ebony FB.

You mean B-G? Likely would need to widen the slots in the nut. Performance of the B-string at 33" scale might not be optimal.

I tried b-g on mine, without the nut cut right though. It sounded good, b wasnt bad and I may go that way to eliminate redundancy when the custom is done.

Here's a beautiful stealth black Fodera Elite. I emailed Jason regarding this and awaiting a reply in regards to the approximate year it was built and the rare finish. You don't see too many Foderas with a gloss finish. What do you guys think? An elite Fodera at a great price too

Just change the strings and possibly the nut. No?
