| | | | Fodera P-Bass?? While I understand Fodera is a top-tier bass, the looks of them have never been my style. To each their own. That said, my LMS had this hanging on the wall, the tag said Fodera(nothing on headstock though). They were asking $795 for it. Google search didn't turn up much...did Fodera really make these? Any idea on value? Thanks. |

I'm not 100% sure but unless this was a VERY early model, there is no chance this is a Fodera. If it was an early model, it would be worth way more than $795 I'm guessing.

| | | | Nothing about that looks like Fodera's work to me.
Did you play it? How does it sound? |

Fodera's earliest work was much more like Ken's Smith's work than Leo fender's, and this is simply a blatant copy of a passive P bass. All of the early Foderas I've seen also had the wooden winged butterly.
Fodera instruments are proudly Fodera instruments - they aren't copies of other's work that they wouldn't put their name or logo on. Avoid this thing, lean towards the Squier if you need a P

No idea if they are legitimate or not, but there are three "Fodera" instruments on eBay at the moment without headstock butterfly inlays. (Although IIRC Jason has said they will not do this anymore.)
