| | | | Here Here...I stand up as a recent fretless purchasee. I recently bought a Squier Vintage Modified Fretless.
It pretty much smokes for how cheap it was...Purchased it as a toy, now I'm in one of my university's 3 jazz combo's after playing around with it in the practice room.
Main bass is a fretted Marcus sunburst jazz.

And yeah, those squier vintage modifieds are underrated, in my book.
Welcome aboard! |

My MIM Fender with epoxied fingerboard and Fender Custom Shop 60's pickups. Best fretless I've ever played.

I've been thinking about replace the pickups with custom shop pickups. I know they make a difference accademically, but how much difference do you think they make practically? On a scale of 1-10 (1 being indistinguishable, 5 being a respectable difference, and 10 being oh holy crap) how would you rate the improvement you get from those pickups? |

1. A 6-string F-Bass AC6 (Alain Caron)
2. A 6-string Yamaha John Patitucci
3. A 5-string Barker
4. A 4-string defretted 1975 Fender Jazz
I'll try to remember to post photos of them all, but for now, I can post a photo of the AC6:

It's everything you've got with the stock pickups, and a ******** of the same more 8) Extra punch, extra Jaco.
