What kind of bass is that fretless? I've seen it before and I really like it, just never knew the name.

Thank you for indulging me... That is an awesome bass. Since you have several of the same type (more or less) with frets getting comfortable without them shouldn't be too much trouble. My main basses were always fender Js so when I decided to go fretless I got the Squier VM J and my fingers just kinda knew where to go....

1st Fretless!

Got my new MTD CRB 5 Fretless delivered by the Man in Brown yesterday. Already threw some Tapewounds on it, haven't put it down since. So Sonically Delicious.
May I get a #, Please?

Newest member of the family

I picked it up used and can't find much info about it. I assume it's the fretless version of this:

Thoughts? Experiences? Thanks

I played my fretless tricked-out Squier/ESP mongrel with the LaBella tapewounds (see post #857) at rehearsal last week, for a few tunes. Definitely a better bass to play than what my original induction bass to this club was - a defretted G&L L-2000 E. I had no trouble with basic classic rock tunes and could pull off a couple of tasty licks too. This bass is clearly a keeper for me, and a nice option to have when the tune calls for a fretless sound!

Great little bass! Excellent quality, fit and finish. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.. I'll snap better ones later.
