WOW! I dig the 21-fret neck. But the rest is a little on the "fringe"

sharkwagon 01-27-2013 11:19 PM

"WARNING: The "handle" on the top back is not a HANDLE. It is a hand rest. DO NOT TRY TO PICK IT UP WITH THIS HANDLE THAT IS NOT A HANDLE."

I think we just found the best bass for metal.

Geroi Asfalta 01-27-2013 11:41 PM

I think we just found ZZ Top's next thing

dtripoli 01-27-2013 11:58 PM

I swear, my front door mat is the exact same carpet used as the covering for this bass, give or take a tassel or two and it didn't cost any where near $2,499.

line6man 01-28-2013 12:08 AM

The other stuff he is selling is also wacky.:hyper:

That's the most depressing thing I've ever seen.

M.R. Ogle 01-28-2013 12:13 AM

I honestly just don't get it.

D.M.N. 01-28-2013 12:56 AM

I would play the living hell out of that bass.

picerjamo 01-28-2013 12:58 AM

The other stuff he is selling is also wacky.

i had a jacket that would have matched that perfectly, sadly i gave the vest away 15 years ago or i would have had to buy the bass to have a set...

Dan Knowlton 01-28-2013 05:17 AM

I'm glad for the buyer that it is a "one of a kind!' That way they will have the only one!

Shame the guy has an Ebay store filled with nice, or at least interesting, guitars that he ruins then charges WAY too much for.

Even this bass looks cool. A through-neck P bass? Sure I'm interested until he wrecks it with that daft tassles.

amimbari 01-28-2013 08:37 AM

the old drawer handle eh?...
Here is another one from a few years back that the ebay ad said that " it brings a unique ric tone to the guitar from the electromagnetic waves being influenced by the metal"...oh ya :rollno:!!

.

and that fringe has nothing on my tiger fur covered bass :)

In related news, members of the Village People have filed a stolen gear report.

petrus61 01-28-2013 08:48 AM

Does not compute..

I was kinda expecting something relic'd that someone decided to call fringed instead.

From the site:

Quote:

So if you are a cool bass player in Nashville or on tour with a NASHVILLE CAT, you must have this bass hanging on you at the next show. YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED LATER BUT ADORED AT THE TIME.
And, it will keep you warm at night.
The mind reels. :D

$2,500????
That's hilarious.

"Alas, but it does not reflect as do many of my creations. This is more of a "Peaceful Easy Feeling" guitar that works best when it is playing the songs of the "new west" circa 1967-68. No hassle out it. Just swaying with the music."

So....I guess I could use that for the one 1967-68 "new west" song I might do in any show.

Or, not.
