+1 on this. Getting the right pickup height with those mfd's is crucial to getting a good sound. When I hammer away like thunder fingers, that mfd gots ta be low enough to avoid clipping the pole pieces or you'll be hearing more crinkle than snarl or growl. Banned eh? Yeah thats the one! Play the heck out of it. Those old sb-2s are really nice. Very underrated basses.

ASAT, shoreline gold, ash body, rosewood board, bound neck, 1/4 sawn and light tint satin with gloss head stock!

Quite excited, never had a custom instrument before!
