G&L Tribute SB-2 MIK Body Materials?
Have done a bit of searching the forum and come up trumps on this question: did Korean Tribute SB-2's feature ash bodies on premium finishes? Did they ever do blue burst in basswood?
A blue burst has turned up here in NZ, can't make out the grain well in the pictures so can't be 100% sure...
Thanks a million guys!
As far as I know basswood was always done in solid colour.
My Korean L2000 is transparent finish on an ash body.
Did some more digging. Turns out there were basswood bodied SB-2's produced in Korea with burst finishes as well as ash.
Seems to be the way to tell is that ash bodies have a burst on the back as well and basswood is solid colour on the back. This is only really useful info if you can't see the grain in a for sale pic of course!
