Gave my 2011 Candy Cola a vintage touch...

What do you guys think?

'62 reissue tort guard, thumb rest, covers, and P knobs for extra bling...

Love the tort against the body. Covers look great
You would call that a tug bar

Nicest candy cola I've seen. This makes it all come together.

For a Jazz Bass, that's very attractive.

If you're trying to show off a cool bass, don't put an even sweeter purple and gold p bass in he background. That thing is amazing!

Great looking bass. I'd go with the black Jazz knobs, tho.

Yeah! What's the story on the P? Love that color. Is it a Fender?

Very nice. I've been looking at Jazz basses in Candy Cola but was leaning toward a black pick guard. I may have to reconsider.

The P was was a surf green Fender 57 reissue that I bought new in the mid 1980s and ruined the finish on dropping it, putting decals on it, and so on and I had it painted Plum Crazy Purple to match my car.

Edit: Here is the original post about it:

My Plum Crazy Purple refinished '57 reissue is all together now...

BTW, looking over my past posts I just realized my candy red bass is a 2010 and not a 2011...and the green P was/is a 1986 AVRI. Can't believe I got the year wrong on my own post...geez.

I like the PG -- not so much the knobs. Would have kept the J knobs. Those make it look more Squire-like.

I love Jazz Basses.
I especially love that Shelby autographed mustang dash bezel.

I've got a White Pearl pg due tomorrow that I am putting on my Candy Cola P-bass V with a maple neck. Seeing your bass has me second guessing my choice.

Excellent taste, sir. Would have done the exact same if it were mine. The Lakers P is pretty cool, too. Has a Mardi Gras feel to it.
