GFS bass neck on a squier body??

Will a GFS bass neck fit on a Squier p bass body??!! Has anyone done this yet i'd love to hear what happened if you have?

All I can tell you is the GFS neck I bought needed serious fret work and didn't properly fit the GFS body I bought.

What was worng with the fit of the GFS neck and body?

The neck pocket was too big for the neck
