So now I have fretted and fretless of the same bass.... life is complete. This one has some serious fingerboard issues... but I imagine it can be fixed. The seller was either dishonest about the condition, or was simply too stupid to know there was a problem. I guess in fairness, I'll choose the latter. But, in spite of the neck pickup not working properly...the body is in good shape, it's light, and has great tone on the notes that play well. It'll be a project, but well worth it. Here's a pic of the twins.

What do you find the are tonal/ playing differences between the ripper & G3?
I've just one '77 wine red G3 that has Labella Tapes on & is a great bass, I love her.

She spent two weeks in a UPS facility due to Hurricane Sandy making my area unbearable to travel to.
More and better pictures to follow sooner than later!
Me being a HUGE Nirvana fan has greatly contributed to me acquiring this
