Gibson SG with P-Bass Pickups
 

Yes, it's Friday afternoon and time for my weekly loony session where weird ideas develop largely due to have nothing better to do.

I've done the measurements and it appears that a pair of P-Bass pickups will fit - the pole-pieces of the bridge pickup being 14cm from the saddles. Both pickups would fit nicely between the two existing SG pickups.

Unfortunately there isn't enough space under the strings of my SG to temporarily place the pickups for testing, so my plan is to buy a cheap Epiphone EB-0 on Ebay and do a rough rout.

Would anyone care to speculate what the finished product would sound like?

Do I need certifying and locking away for my own protection?
