Gigbag for a rick 4003?
The flight case is quite heavy and I was wondering who carries his rick on a gigbag? It seems to fit my fender gigbags...

So long as the gig bag offers enough protection for YOUR purposes, it's fine.
I use the standard case with my Ric, and all my basses.

I would never use a gig bag for my Rick or any other bass that I cared about.

Mono Cases are great and offer a ton of protection. I use an M80 double and a Vertigo for all of my gigs.

I use a mono bag (I don't like to call the bags.. Really they are soft cases), it gets thrown in and out if cars, taxis, trains, gigs, rehearsals.. No problem at all.
They have a back of the neck pad with a Velcro patch, keeps it snug n safe.

the problem with using a normal gig bag with a rick is the pickup selector. it's fragile and can get damaged just by being carried around in the bag. if it's a real nice gig bag that supports the body more then you'll be ok.

Thanks everybody, I think I'll use the case.
